Throughout my life, my parents always taught me the importance of going to college. When I took out my initial college loans, I had no clue what I was doing, and a few months before graduation, I knew I had a problem on my hands. I had no time to get a well-paying job as a full-time student, and I was still looking for a job following graduation to help me pay off my overwhelming debts.

After an initial scare of a poor credit rating due to an error made by a past creditor, I was able to get my score fixed in the nick of time to begin speaking with potential lenders about refinancing. Fortunately for me, I found a reputable lender offering better interest rates than I had on my previous student loans. Even with the lender’s fees, I ended up saving a great deal of money than I would have otherwise.
